Child Passenger Safety Week

This week, I’d like to step out of the kitchen and talk about a subject near and dear to my heart. Child Passenger Safety (CPS) week is September 13-19, 2015 and Saturday September 19th is National Seat Check Saturday. I have two children, Max (2 years) and Charlotte (8 months) and safety is a priority for us. Do you have little ones in your life? Learn more on twitter this week with the Manufacturers Alliance for Child Passenger Safety (MACPS) using common hashtags #therightseat and #OneGoalSavingLives.

Before my son Max was born, my husband and I connected with UPPAbaby, a national stroller and car seat company that is family run and based out of Hingham, MA. Safety and education are core values of the company and they proved to be an amazing resource to us as expecting parents. Their products are high functioning, great looking and user friendly. We began our experience with UPPAbaby with their infant Mesa car seat and now use their 2015 Vista stroller as our primary set of wheels (You can see my full review of their award winning car seat here as well as my personal story about why CPS is important to us here.)

With cute kids, comes GEAR! My love for high functioning, quality gear isn’t just for the kitchen. As a mother of “two under two”, I have learned quickly that quality also matters when it comes to wrangling the little ones.

Just like my approach in the kitchen, my goal when embarking into the land of parenthood was not to overbuy and to invest in top quality gear that would enhance our life style. The UPPAbaby Vista and Mesa are two pieces of gear that are reliable and enhance our daily activities.

Things I love about the UPPAbaby 2015 Vista:

It’s a piece of equipment that can grow with our family. Accessories like the booster seat and piggyback provide us with reliable transportation.

Multi direction facing for all seating arrangements. Keeping a toddler intrigued and a baby soothed is no easy task. Options are key when we need to mix things up. Usually Max and Charlotte self entertain facing each other and smile and giggle. But sometimes Max bites Charlottes toes and everyone needs to face a different direction We have options!

At 26.5” wide, the stroller fits easily down the aisles in the grocery and retail stores. The XL undercarriage basket it sooooo big. 4-6 grocery bags worth of grocery items can pack into the miracle basket. I need room for food and diapers as well as the kiddos!

The stroller collapses and assembles effortlessly and with ease in and out of the car and off and on airplanes. Playgroups, errands, and family on the West and East Coast, we are always on the go. Assembly can basically be done blindfolded. (I had the 2013 Vista which was not as easy to break down. They changed the latch mechanism and it’s a game changer)

The tires and steering are tight and sturdy. The strong, agile tires travel smoothly on the cobblestones and brick in downtown Boston as well as mulch and gravel paths in the suburbs.

Material that comes in awesome colors AND wipes down easily. Yes, we are messy, but the stroller looks clean. These people know their demo!

Is your family growing? I’m happy to answer any questions you may have and share more of my experiences.

And don’t forget:
